“The arts are not a frill. The arts are a response to our individuality and our nature, and help to shape our identity. What is there that can transcend deep difference and stubborn divisions? The arts. They have a wonderful universality. Art has the potential to unify. It can speak in many languages without a translator. The arts do not discriminate. The arts can lift us up.”
-Former Texas Congresswoman Barbara Jordan

The Dallas Opera‘s Community performance of “The Three Little Pigs!” was a huge success! Over 300 adults and children filled City Council Chambers to see this operatic twist on a children’s classic tale. The music was based on Mozart’s operas, giving everyone a wonderful introduction to his timeless music.
This program was made possible by The Dallas Opera, Frisco Arts, and the City of Frisco’s Arts & Culture Division. Thanks to all our generous donors for bringing this program to Frisco and FREE to the public. We look forward to making it happen again soon!
Our next Ladies Who Launch features Frisco Arts members Kathy Selvidge, Assistant Vice President of Texas Republic Bank, and Dr. Melody Ouyang, Juilliard graduate and founder of Music Institute of North Texas. Come hear their experiences in arts and business while enjoying a gourmet lunch by Crest Infiniti’s Executive Chef. Non-alcoholic beverages and a small dessert are included.
