Frisco, TX. – Chabad of Frisco will hold its fifth annual Public Menorah Lighting and Chanukah celebration on Sunday December 2, 2018 at 4:30 – 5:30pm in the Simpson Plaza across from Frisco City Hall.
A gorgeous 8-foot Menorah will be lit with Chanukah music and words of inspiration will be shared. A special dedication will be made to the lives lost recently in the Synagogue in Pittsburgh.
Frisco Mayor, Mr. Jeff Cheney will share greetings with the community.
Traditional holiday foods will be served such as “latkes” (a potato pancake fried in oil), “gelt” (chocolate coins) and “dreidels” (a holiday toy) will be distributed to children. There will be balloon artists, bounce houses, Chanukah themed glitter tattoos, live DJ playing Chanukah music and leading games as well as crafts for the kids.
The annual Chanukah celebration in Frisco has grown from year to year. In the past years Chabad of Frisco has honored Military Veterans, the Frisco Police Department represented by Chief John Bruce, as well as Mayor Maso and FISD super Intendent Mr. Jeremy Lyon. There is great excitement this year, people are looking forward to coming together, the Frisco old timers and the new families that have recently moved here.
