Join us for a preview of the “A Cast of Blues” exhibit and learn about a the life and music of Frisco native, and legendary bluesman, ZuZu Bollin. Brian “Hash Brown” Calway will perform during the preview reception and share ZuZu Bollin’s music and legacy.
“A Cast of Blues”
The exhibition features 15 resin cast masks of blues legends created by artist Sharon McConnell-Dickerson as well as 15 color photographs of performers and of juke joints by acclaimed photographer Ken Murphy. The exhibition is fully accessible to all visitors, featuring braille labels and educational materials, as well as a music playlist for gallery use and two films. In addition, visitors are encouraged to touch the resin cast masks. This exhibit is on loan from ExhibitsUSA and Mid-America Arts Alliance, April 6 through May 25, 2019.

The blues has been an important part of Texas music for generations. A true Frisco original, ZuZu Bollin, born in Frisco in 1922, contributed to this great history.
